No guitars were harmed during the collection of the information presented in this post.
Can't say the same thing for frets though...

OK, Happy New Year from 2006!

Now I'm back to normal.

The Tom Baker joke may be difficult to explain.

Now Tom, you knew all along I meant this Tom Baker

Don't think I've forgotten about that interview, either.

I got the joke/reference even without the pic. :D 'Twas the best cheap-jack sci-fi show ever to emanate from the Beeb (except Red Dwarf, but that was meant to be a comedy), and Mr. Baker was the best of the Doctors.

Well I think there are three or four stages involed.

1) First airing of the program
2) Repeats ad nauseum till we are all fed up of repeats
3) Nothing on air, issue DVD, still nothing on air, sell more DVDs
4) DVD sales dip, time to bring it back on the tele

Black Adder was excellent, but Red Dwarf has to be my favourite all time sitcom.

It had Vindaloo monsters, lager weilding heroes, bizarre time shifts and filthy underwear. What more could you ask for?

It also has the second best time travel sequence ever filmed (the Kennedy episode).

The first best is Bill and Ted.

Idlewild - immensly well worked on many levels, probably true.

One of my faves is still the alternate reality/dream sequence one where, afterwards, the Cat keeps asking "I'm NOT Dwayne Dibbly?!" And Danny John-Jules's characterisation of the Cat is by far the best portrait of feline-dom ever done - i.e., vain, shallow, self-centered, vastly overestimating its own intelligence - anyone who's ever lived with a cat has to agree. (And I like cats.)
