Hi to everyone, I'm totally new to the fretless guitar, but I've been interested in it for some time now. I have a cheap old electric guitar taken apart right now and I've been thinking about converting it into fretless. One idea that came to my mind is to remove the frets and try to cover the fingerboard with stainless steel sheet foil. I could let the sheet foil to be cut into exact size and glue it onto the fingerboard. If it is reasonable to try it, then what thickness of the sheet would be best (taking into account that fingerboards have a little bit curved surface and the sheet must bend to mimic the surface)
Found this page where you can choose the thickness of the sheet: http://www.ebay.com/...Vr0CH9DSrkRcp8g
Thanks in advance!
