Went then, fair price too. I hope it all works out for the buyer. I am guessing he is not one of us already?

Went at 870 - so that's the s/h value now.

Maybe we will hear from the buyer.

It can only increase in value - when the CD comes out, for instance. V

When that one was made, they were quite a lot cheaper anyway weren't they? 1200 or so?

I think in another 10 years time they will be a real collector's item, and we will be kicking ourselves for not having bought three or four. --j

I am already kicking myself for not having a good enough job to be able to afford one at all!

You think? Hmm...

Has the Surfreters always been made like they're made today? Any details changed? Would anyone know the total production for each year? I guess Patrice would know, but I feel like it's unkind to bother him. After all, he's a busy man. I haven't found such details on this forum either, if they are here, please direct me. :D

At a guess I think the production is quite low, about 50 per year maybe.

No mods that I know of, its a pretty hard thing to improve on, perfection.

Indeed, I have only ever played one. It was about ten years ago and I still can't get it out of my system. I want one so bad.....

there were on aprege V6 guitar and the arpege basses that were sellable with this metal board until the second arpege serie appeared.
Only one was sold.

Several Sufreter users find the sustain a little bit weak in clean and the sound in this set up is juged too "clean" by some of them.

I found myself that i lacks some sustain past the 12 fret of the high string and that tapping sustain is very difficult...but well that's far better than other fretless guitars..

Are you suggesting The Jim should take up part time chef-ing to pay for the purple one? :)

Well, it is his color... And the instrument he wants... But he's old enough to make up his own mind, without anyone putting ideas into his head. At least not about getting a lovely purrrple Vigier, pimped out purrrple... :) :D
