The phrase "uke shredder" brought to mind for the briefest of seconds a picture of an industrial-size chipper being fed ukes and other Don Ho paraphenalia...

Oh my, that's quite amazing, plus some sort of large ukelele. Mind you they made them in all sizes, right up to double bass size.

There's a mass ukelele orchestra doing the rounds in the UK, amusing for the first five minutes then it depends how much you like ukes.

Turned out nice again!

I think if anyone on that list was going to try fretless first it would probably be Les Paul, I fink - is he still amonst us?

I think he is. Saw something with him on the telly not long ago (no, it wasn't a penguin), and it wasn't a "someone just died and here's a retrospective" sorta thing.

Music usually helps longevity, methinks. I don't think it's just the annual Swiss blood changes that keep Keith Richards alive for the next Maalox & Depends-sponsored Stones tour.

Speaking of Cat Stevens, does anyone remember his third hit single "I'm Going to get me a Gun" ? Doesn't feature on current greatest hits or best of albums. If I sent my copy to Tony Blair he'd be up before the beak in no time at all.
