Traffic regs are for cars. Always wanted to get busted speeding on a pedal bike but the most you can hope for in the UK is getting charged for not having a bell.

Magic! I've got it.

Just like the NYC bike vid, you approach the speed camera on a bike with a tow from your mates car, release and pass through said camera at a phenomenal rate. Your mate should do an emergency stop before the camera so as not to give the game away.

Later, if you are ever caught speeding you can site the fact that the speed camera surely must be faulty if a cyclist registers 65mph (100Kph).

Do same with roller blades / skateboard / hospital bed with wheels / food trolley / samsonite suitcase (hold on tight), try to give an evil grin to camera.

Result? Total collapse of the capitalist system, speed cameras outlawed, compulsary registration of anything with wheels, sense of humour tax.

Well, the best I can boast at the moment is 65kmh is in a 30kmh limit (20mph) yes they do have them here in Norway, that's the best my old touring bike and my fattarse will do....

I have a nice, long downhill near me that has a tendency to a tail wind - I'll see what the new bike's good for when the f***ing thing arrives...(don't even think about it Postie!)

But wouldn't wheelchairs be exempt from speed limits if piloted by a disabled person?

'cause you certainly can't get busted for walking 40mph in a 30 zone?

Actually, the idea for the post came from an old pub game, called 'idiocracy' or something like that, where instead of discussing actual politics, we'd get drunk and vent by creating the the most rediculous government from hell, always seemed to have more fun with creating extreme lefties though - ie, compulsory lesbianism, male castration and organic ice cream...

It doesn't work on the internet though.

Understandable - I tend to have lived in closer proximity to the looniest of the left than to their mirror twins in crypto-fascisti land, so I'd find it easier as well to come up with similar examples.

Indeed there were times in Berkeley, Calif., where I wondered for a moment if I was going to be abducted and spirited off to a vegan re-education camp for wearing a leather belt... (Most probably if I mentioned the Burrito Grande con Pollo y Queso Adicional I had for lunch.)
