Hi everybody.It is time to start organizing the Dutch Fretless Guitar Festival 7 in my hometown The Hague for the spring/summer of 2012!I would like to know who is interested in playing (only rule is no frets). As usual, no money to pay artists so if you want to participate I'm afraid you'll have to pay for hotel, food and travel expenses (please don't ask if there is money involved because there isn't any!) Last year I organized it at Paardcafé and I was happy to see it was well attended because of the promotion and location of the venue.I would like to have the DFGF 7 before the summer of 2012. So if you are interested please let me know. Cheers

Hi Willem ,

I saw your post for the dutch frettless guitar festival you are organising i really like the sound of it. I am a guitarist based in the UK who plays fretless in a number of projects and i would really love to come and play at your festival.

Tellef Øgrim might be part of the festival! So an artist from Norway! I hope Wonka from Sweden can make it as well!

Well I have never had the pleasure of meeting him. He was kind enough of sending me his CD Wagon which is really good. He's planning to attend with a trombone player, kind of like a fretless trumpet! Posted Image

Hi everybody,

Now it seems to be that 3 Pups Music from Nashville, USA, is also planning to make it to the festival! That would be great, last time they came to Holland was during the DFGF 2, 5 years ago! So I'm looking forward to see Brad and Pantha perform again.

I also hope Tellef Øgrim from Norway can make it for the first time. A well know jazz guitarist in his home country.

My good friend Albert Dambeck from Germany is also planning in attending the festival, he's been here a lot of times and it's always great to hear him play.

And also great great news is that my super friends Jay Matharu from the UK and his lovely wife, on tablas, from Sweden Carro Barro also have plans to attend. Jay will be going to Hungary to rehearse with Zoltan on bass, whom also attended the DFGF 5 for a new set for the Dutch Fretless Festival 7! I really appreciate their efforts and have always admired their music.

Also a veteran of the festival, Bapman, with his super trio Wonka from Sweden might show up!! These guys kick ass!!!!

I guess that Melle Weijters from Amsterdam will be attending again. For him it is only one train stop away! He's been here many many times and I can't imagine a festival without him!

And of course I will be playing with my band Dream Flight to Antarctica again. We have been rehearsing a lot and have a new keyboard player in the band.

I hope Gary and Jeff can make it, they always bring something extra special to the festival. And I haven't seen them in a while! Posted Image

Soz, but unlikely I'll be able to make it as it's main vacation time for the Munguses - Though L starts a new job this year so everything might me up messed a wee bit...
