I get those occasionally,

The funniest one I've ever had was a minute ago, it was from HSBC informing me I'd received money and instructing me to log in right away...

link brought me here....

Sorry J, bad taste...

I wonder if somebody ever reacts to these e-mails. You have to have no brains to think somebody you don't know wants to give you money for free.....

Willi,

You should never reply to these mails.

Of course no one believes the money is there!!

The trick is to make you mad and reply - then they know they have hit a live e-mail address.

Then the second stage begins....
Play the blues guitar with your soul, but play the fretless guitar with your spirit.

Actually, it does work. Check the section under monetary losses in the Wikipedia link. And, it's been working for decades and decades.

Although, I can see this being used as a method to get verified email addresses. Those are gold to the spammers. So, as J says, never reply to these. Your email address will be sold 'round the world in minutes.

SHIT!
More spams now, I should have known it..... But my Mac is pretty good against spams. From now on I will not reply them
I bought once an airplane ticket from Easy Jet to fly to London to buy my Vigier and since then they spam me weekly. And if you go to the link to stop their e-mails you just get lost in their website. It is impossible to find it. I also have spam mails from KLM, Amazon.com, and a LOT of HATE mail from USA when I say something nasty about the country in youtube  All these proud Americans say they will kick my ass, that they liberated Europe from the nazis, bla bla bla  but it is great fun to get them all upset! It makes my day.

I get about 5 emails per day from the various music stores I've ordered stuff from. That I actually like. Easy to throw away and lets me know if they do actually have stuff I want to buy cheap (but it pisses me off to get the emails with good deals from the British and German stores). But, a couple of them send me monthly paper catalogs. Idiots! Musician's Friend is the worst. Why send out an outdated paper catalog when they already send me their current deals every day by email?

There was a time when the US ruled the world, militarily, economically, and culturally. It really pisses the rednecks off that that time has past. If you really want to get them riled up, ask them if they think the current crop of morbidly obese Americans could even waddle their way over to Europe.
