You really do need to check out the merchandising table at the events you visit! :w00t:

Sure! A company out of New Hampshire called Rondo Music makes these under the "Agile" brand. Basically, it's a Korean Carvin. Ash body, maple neck, no frills. Long scale, 28.625" - a beast. The only thing I would change would be the fretboard radius if anything at all, the side dots are even moved to accommodate fretless design. It's a 15" radius which, due to the size of the neck is hardly noticeable, but totally flat would be awesome. For the price range, I'm not complaining. I also have installed the N-Tune tuner on both of these which is super awesome. The fretless needs the nut lowered just a hair to be perfect.

The Intrepid had very humble beginnings on the Extended Range Guitar section of the sevenstring.org discussion forum. The owner of Rondo Music (as well as many other exceptional luthiers) is a member, posts somewhat regularly, often does polls for input, etc. His production model prices are WELL below the average, so when he had the idea for a production 8 string, most everyone on the forum was on board. First run had some issues, both of mine are second run - no problems at all. Third run was just delivered, 4th run orders are closed (he sells out every time! cha-ching!), next round of orders will be Jan.'10. This run might have a multi-scale 7 string, with an 8 string version later in the year (YES!). I can't think of anyone doing a production multi-scale anything other than this guy. Points for ambition!
