My good lady has been on at me for some time to make an appointment with the dentist.

Now I don't really want to go.

Another thing, dentists are hard to find in the UK. If you have not visited one for 2 years you can be taken off their books.

One friend recently had to wait six weeks in agony to get some urgent work done.

So I finally tracked down my dentist in the yellow pages and casually asked for an appointment for a check up.

The young lady took the details and said 10h00 tomorrow. OMG!

Then she said it had been a while since my last visit.

So I asked when that was.

1995

Is this a record?

Do I win $5?

Anyone else been away from dental healthcare this long?

Grizzly Addams?

Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan?

I traded my greedy fat dentist in for a young, sweet petite swedish girl - it was a much more pleasant experience having her tug at my root I can tell you....

But the thing is, the last root canals I had - which both ended in long PAINFUL extractions - the last of which I still haven't healed properly - for the roughly same money I could have rented about 4 african prostitutes and bought a bag of cocaine the size of a medium sized scrotum and died happily face down in a pool of my own puss from the syphilis sores. Much more pleasant than dentistry I'd say.....

I doubt if Shane MacGowan ever went to a dentist. But then again, he didn't have teeth. I don't know what those things in his mouth were, but, they weren't teeth.

You probably are going to lose more than $5. Oh wait, is this an NHS dentist? You lucky bastard. Since I've been back in the US, I've spent about $2000 or $3000 on dental bills (and that's with insurance)!

You don't have a record though. My grandfather, didn't go to see a dentist in the last 50 years of his life. Of course, he didn't have any teeth in the last 30 of those years.

P.S. Don't let them give you nitrous oxide. It complicates B12 deficiency.

I'll have to stop going to those biker parties.

My timing may be off, but did they pull all your teeth? I mean the dentist, not the bikers. Which brings up the weirdest dentist movie I've seen.

That is a weird film.

I'll explain the Biker parties.

Back in the late 60's early 70's it was rather the vogue for bikers to obtain a canister of NO2, prop it up in the corner of a small room at a party and turn it on.

Sort of the equivalent of an aperitif, start the evening with a laugh.

That's verging on a group Darwin award.

Wonder if it still goes on?

Perhaps they all died out in a massive explosion.

Come to think of it there doesn't appear to be so many hairy bikers around anymore.

There's an awful lot in Manchester's gay district, biker girl's must have died out.

There are still a lot of hairy bikers, they just keep a lower profile nowadays. Since I started riding a chop I have met a fair few. No sausage jockeys yet though. :whistling:

Not been to any parties involving laughing gas. I do see it at a lot of festivals though....
You're a grotesque, ugly freak and you're wrong. Thankyou.
