'Bout the label name, i think "Unfretted Records" is fine. After all, it's this site that started all.

The postman might already have released a CD named "Fretless Guitar Postmen", so we can't use it
I think "Village of the Unfretted" could be a good title. Then the second CD could be called "City of the Unfretted" etc...

I better start working on the cover. I also have an idea for a new unfretted logo, you'll see it soon...

"Village of the Unfretted" and "Unfretted Records" does it for me.

That way you can use the story and theme the tunes.

Using "Unfretted Records" saves buying and setting up another website!

Works for me fine, looks like I'll have to prasie the Village notes into a real story.

I did have a couple more tunes in the bag for that.

Looking forward to seeing that logo, its about time we had a facelift.

We don't have to use the story though, my suggestion was to use the name. But you can include the story if you want, after all, it's you who's going to rewrite it

You remember the original film poster too, that really freaked me out as a kid, I went to visit London for the first time and the posters were everywhere on the Underground.

Emre - Thought the story could provide a cohesive link for all the artists, and it will be the first fretless compilation concept album ever.

That way, we won't need pages of booklet, which will drop the printing costs. One sheet of paper (with both sides printed) for the front cover, and one sheet for the back cover (one side printed, the other blank) would be enough...

I wonder does it even need to be in a jewel case. It could just be in a paper sleeve, I actually like those better in some ways. Just a thought.

hmm I wonder if I could make an opera like fretless song, with different characters based on a certain section of the story..... I got to make my seven so I can really make it interesting.

Seven!!! There's only 80 minutes on a CD... Oh, my mistake, its strings not songs, that was lucky.

I think the idea would be to keep the songs at a high res *.wav or such. I don't mind big files but you better e-mail anything direct rather than via the Forum.

Otherwise CDs are just as welcome, or MDs, no DATs though.

FTP is another possibility.

Jewel or paper case, it doesn't matter for me. It could be paper to keep the costs low. Besides, jewel cases add a lot to the package weight when shipping, pushing the shipping costs up. And they have a tendancy to break during shipping.
