Ermm... the Jury is out on the markers, told them not to put any on so it may be completely blind. I think the headstock is Stratish. --J

There is quite a bit of work as it is just a bare neck, but satin finished. Needs the nut and markers and tuning pegs etc.. more as and when... --J

So it's not a plug & play thing. Well, have fun. (i actually have fun working on such things...until something goes wrong)

I wanted a little control over the final product, so the nut can be trimmed for nice heavy strings and markers put in only if drastically needed. Lots to go wrong of course, but that's half the fun. - Jeff

Latest news is the neck made it from Seattle to Louisville on Xmas eve, delayed by adverse weather conditions. What makes things more exciting is UPS only have part of my address.... ---J

Maybe that's their understanding of fun; it wouldn't be so fun to deliver a package if they knew the complete address, would it? Lots to go wrong of course, but that's half their fun. :D Well, hope you receive it as soon as possible.

Well, there's lots to do..

First off the neck looks great and fits the Hamer a treat, apart from the pre-drilled neck holes not being exactly in the right place.

So I've wood filled the holes and hopefully that will give us a better neck connection when we come to bolt everything together.

The tuners looked wrong at first, that gave me a nasty turn, I can tell you. But there are four middle ones, a top one and a bottom one. I think you have to hammer the ferules into place.

The nut is going to need a bit of work to get down to size but we did go for the luxury of a set of 8 nut files .010 to .050

So it may be another hour before owt gets posted.

Jeff
