That sounds good, what is the asking price?

Do you have the serial number?

Is the fingerboard Delta Metal (Brass) or i-metal (Stainless Steel) ?

£3000 is a lot to ask when the retail for a new one is around £2200 is this because it was owned by Asir Ibrahim?

Perhaps open to offers for cash on the hip.

But she is a beauty and not available on every street corner.

3K is really (too) high. Paid 1200 euros for my surfreter supra special with matching headstock. New price is less than 2500GBP (which is already too much if you ask me).

Vintage status for a guitar from year 2000? :D

Not in my book! :D  I don't consider a guitar from 1996 (20 years old) vintage. I wouldn't mind because then I have a lot of vintage guitars. I am thinking more in the league of 40 years, so from 1976.

Also I don't think older Vigiers are more worth or sought after than new ones and therefor have no vintage status (like Fender, Gibson etc.). I even think that most people would prefer a new one because of the 'new' iMetal fretboard. A bit off topic but I really would like to know if the new iMetal fretboard is better and has more sustain than the older Delta Metal fretboard? It is advertised that way but did someone compare it side by side? Really would like to play on a new one to hear the difference.

I wish you good luck with the sale! If you have a reasonable price I am sure it will sell quickly.

I bought my Vigier in 2004 for £800 (GBP) back then the retail price was £1200. Serial number 000291. Vigier made a big run of Surfretters back in 2000. Around 2006 I think Patrice wanted to be more in the boutique market occupied by Suhr, PRS, and others so the price doubled to where we are now.

I don't think the new metal board will make any difference to the sustain, it is the guitar construction itself that is the main factor. The big advantage is it stays clean.

As for pricing, I would guess £1200 - £1500 as this seems to be the range they are going for at the moment.

No, I'd like to keep it up there as people are always looking for Vigiers.

I would recommend keeping it as if the Golden day for Fretless Guitars does arrive, you will most likely get your asking price. :)

As I said the price is high for fleece bay, but a reasonable cash price is OK.
