When it was on before the start price was 1250, with some interest but no bids.

Well, I was thinking of a surfretter as a bit of an investment guitar - there's roughly 9 hours to go and it looks like not to wonderful an idea at the moment! I don't want one if it'll be like a turd you can't flush.... :w00t:

Sorry!

I have to find money for a new concert guitar so I'm out, (not that I was really 'in' in the first place).

Oh I get it!

No,no,no, a "turd" is simply something nasty - whereas a "turd you can't flush" simply refers to something that you can't get rid of when you need to - like for example if I had to sell it quick to pay for, say, trips to future festivals etc

Can't believe you pulled the "friends" line on me for that, Dude!

now there's roughly 1 hour to go and it looks like nothing is happening (after i quit bidding...).

another example that fretless guitars are not exactly hot items...

it's still a good deal at the current price methinks...

It is! Still half hour to go!

I was so nearly going to bid just now, but our water heater has just packed up  . I'd rather have bought a guitar that I couldn't sell again than a new boiler

sometimes warm water is more important than a guitar....

yes... i was tempted to test waters again but i get the distinct feeling that metalheds bid the amount the seller is actually asking for
unless there's a last minute bidding war...
so i'm gonna restrain myself....

Wonder if someone will get a second chance due to a withdrawn bid?

Anyone out there bid the 790?

If it wasn't for all the shit going on at the moment, I'd probably have gone up to 1.2K, but it's just plain evil of me to say that right now!

Oh, I get it!

Well if it hadn't have been for the log-jam on the turnpike delaying my arrival home, I would have been able to make a last minute bid of 1399!
